About Us

Photography, curiosity, and a closer look at the natural world.

Meet Brian

Hello, I’m Brian Woolman—the photographer and designer behind Where’s Wildlife. I love spending time outdoors, photographing wildlife and wildflowers, and learning the names and stories behind the things I encounter.

I created Where’s Wildlife to share those discoveries and help others recognize and appreciate the nature around them. My interest in botany has made native plants a particular focus, alongside the birds and other wildlife I photograph along the way.

Helping curiosity grow

A familiar bird at a feeder or an unfamiliar flower beside a trail can be the start of something wonderful. Through photographs, identification guides, and interactive quizzes, I hope to make learning about nature approachable and enjoyable—for curious beginners and lifelong nature enthusiasts alike.

What you’ll find here

Where’s Wildlife brings together photographic identification posters, wildlife and wildflower guides, digital photo cutouts, interactive quizzes, and a nature search-and-find book. These projects grew from my time outdoors and my enthusiasm for sharing what I discover.

Explore the guides to get to know a species, test yourself with a quiz, or find a poster to keep learning at home, in a classroom, or wherever your curiosity takes you.

Custom posters & trail sign design

Custom poster design and printing, trail sign design, and other nature-focused design services are available upon request. For trail signs, I provide the design only; customers arrange sign printing and fabrication separately with a sign producer. Whether you have a particular species, habitat, or location in mind, contact me to discuss your project, available options, pricing, and timing.

I photograph predominantly in the Midwest, so my photo collection is strongest in the wildlife and plants found in this region. The species I can include in a custom design depend on the photographs I have available; I may not have images of every species or region. Send me your ideas or a species list, and I’ll let you know what’s possible.

You can also visit the Contact page for order questions, shipping information, and returns.
