Wide prairie skies, wetland boardwalks, and a few discoveries along the way.
This collection captures part of Brian’s walk through Rollins Savanna: open landscapes, Great Egrets, and the plants and trails that caught his attention.

Brian found the gravel trail well suited to bikes, but he prefers trails with a more natural feel. He did not walk around the entire preserve. The photographs here show the portion he explored and the good views he found along the way.
Rollins Savanna protects 1,253 acres of prairie, wetlands, and oak groves. Its gravel trail network includes bridges and boardwalks and is open to hiking and bicycling.
This is a photographic look at a partial visit, rather than a complete tour or route guide. Use the official map to plan your own walk or ride.

The preserve lists 7.75 miles of gravel trail, with bridges and boardwalks. Hiking, bicycling, and cross-country skiing are permitted.
That distance describes the preserve’s trails, not the distance Brian walked.

A raised viewing platform is a short walk from the Drury Lane parking lot. Viewing scopes overlook restored grassland and wetland.
