Formerly commonly called House Wren, this small brown bird has a lively, bubbling song.

Three Identification Clues

A small, compact brown bird with a thin bill and a tail often held cocked.

Fine dark bars cross the wings and tail.

The face is fairly plain, without the bold white eyebrow of a Carolina Wren.
