Habitat: Water Hemlock prefers full to partial sun with wet to moist conditions and loamy or sandy soil containing some organic material to retain moisture. Look for Water Hemlock in moist open woodlands, swamps, wet prairies, prairie swales, marshes, seeps, and roadside ditches.
