A plain brown swallow that often hunts insects low over water and nests in existing burrows or crevices.

Three Identification Clues

Plain brown upperparts and a small head with a short bill.

A dusky throat and chest blend into a whitish belly, without a sharp breast band.

Long, pointed wings and a nearly square tail; juveniles can show warm-colored wingbars.
