Habitat: Climbing False Buckwheat prefers partial sun with moist to mesic conditions and a fertile loamy soil. Look for Climbing False Buckwheat in open woodlands in floodplain areas, woodland borders, thickets, riverbanks, ditches, sloping ground along bridges, and fence rows.
