Habitat: Blue vervain prefers full to partial sunlight with moist conditions, and soil consisting of wet muck or fertile loam. Look for Blue Vervain in riverbottom prairies, moist meadows in floodplain woodlands, soggy thickets, borders of rivers and ponds, marshes, ditches, fence rows, and pastures.
